“Ever wonder how a simple need can lead to the creation of a sanctuary?” That’s the story of Mushollah Al Mumin.
In 2004, the Al Mu’min mosque was established. The story begins with a problem: the local mosque could no longer accommodate the growing congregation for Friday prayers.
Driven by this need community members took action. They sought permission from the Governor, Bapak Sutiyoso to build a new mosque on vacant land. Thankfully permission was granted. Thus, Mushollah Al Mumin was born.
The construction of Mushollah Al Mumin was a community effort. Funds came from the mosque’s administrators, the regional government, and generous donations from local residents.
