“Ever wonder how a church can impact lives beyond its walls?” Freshwater Church isn’t just a building. It’s a family.
Freshwater Church began in 1999 with a dream. The dream was to impact the community by sharing Christ’s love. The church envisioned a learning center for families. It was passionate about helping people find their purpose.
Now, some twenty years later Freshwater Church remains committed. It is passionate about fulfilling God’s calling. The church’s mission is unwavering. Jesus gave his disciples the Great Commission. They were to go and make disciples. Freshwater Church has occupied five different physical spaces. It has never wavered from its mission.
The church reaches people for Christ. It connects them with other believers. Freshwater Church helps them grow in their faith. It encourages them to serve others. Members honor God with their lives.
Freshwater Church strives to be real and relevant. It wants to be relational, inspiring, and generous. It focuses on making disciples.
God blessed Freshwater with growth. Growth brings complications. The church has added service times and campuses. The current facility has limited classrooms. It also has limited space for groups to meet. The sanctuary seating is limited. The church runs three services and may add a fourth. Low ceilings impact lighting and sound. Parking is also limited. Two steel poles in the sanctuary impede the view. They make hosting events difficult.
Plain and simple Freshwater Church must stay focused. It must make disciples to raise the community’s spiritual climate. This is its God-honoring calling. The total cost of the new home is approximately $9 million. Freshwater needed to raise $3 million to start building. It financed the remaining amount.
Freshwater Church exists to reach non-believers. It connects them with Christians. The church helps them grow in their faith. It challenges them to serve others. They honor God with their lives. Freshwater is more than just a building. It is a family. Everyone has a place here.
Freshwater Church exists eternally in three persons. These are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Freshwater Church believes Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He died upon the cross for the unjust. He arose from the dead. The Holy Spirit empowers believers. He convinces the world of sin.
Freshwater Church is affiliated with several organizations. These include the Christian and Missionary Alliance. It is also affiliated with the International Ministerial Fellowship. The church also partners with the Association of Related Churches.
