After the City of Camberwell was amalgamated with Hawthorn and Kew on 22 June 1994, the Camberwell Town Hall and Civic Centre became the main municipal offices. The building was recently renovated including an updated library and painting in 2015.

In 2022, the Camberwell Community Centre moved. It relocated to a purpose-built facility on Fairholm Grove. The Centre offers various courses. These enhance connection through creativity and learning. Wellbeing is also a focus. Activities include multicultural senior groups. Social card games, film and book clubs are available. You can also participate in art, ceramics, and language classes.
