Dedicated to non-sectarian views, the Tibetan Buddhist Rime Institute stands as a beacon of tolerance. This hidden jewel cultivates appreciation for all wisdom traditions. Let’s step inside.

Founded in 2005 by Khentrul Rinpoche, the Rime Institute embraces a unique approach within Buddhism. Rime signifies “non-sectarian,” welcoming teachings from all Tibetan Buddhist traditions. These include Mahayana and Tantrayana. The Institute specializes in the Jonang tradition. This includes the Zhentong Madhyamaka view and the Kalachakra Six Yoga practice. These doctrines are rarely found outside of Tibet. They are said to play a vital role in the future of Buddhism and world peace.

Khentrul Jamphel Lodro Rinpoche is a renowned Jonang Kalachakra scholar. He is also a Buddhist Rime master. Born in the mountains of Tibet, he studied with over 25 teachers. These teachers came from all major Tibetan Buddhist traditions. This earned him the title “Rime Master”. He was recognized as the reincarnation of Lama Ngawang Chözin Gyatso and Ghetse Khentrul.

The Jonang tradition holds two important lineages. The Zhentong Madhyamaka philosophy is highly regarded. Many realized masters see it as the highest understanding of emptiness. The Jonang is the only Tibetan Buddhist school to emphasize this doctrine. The Kalachakra Tantra is a comprehensive system within Tibetan Buddhism. The Jonang tradition holds the entire Kalachakra system. This includes the unique completion practice known as the “Six Vajra Yogas”.

The Tibetan Buddhist Rime Institute developed Khentrul Rinpoche’s book series. It’s called Unveiling Your Sacred Truth. It also developed the commentary the Hidden Treasure of the Profound Path. The Sangha Unifying Stupa is now complete at the Tibetan Buddhist Rime Institute. Khentrul Rinpoche selected the Stupa of Reconciliation. It serves as a global community.

The Rime Institute offers various programs. These programs empower people to thrive. They encourage authentic living connected to nature and humanity. Teachings are grounded in mindfulness and meditation. Buddhist philosophy, Kalachakra tantra, and astrology are also taught. You can drop-in for a Friday meditation session. This session focuses on finding peace. Sunday meditation sessions are also available. These help to reset and focus your practice. Monday guided meditations help find inner peace and clarity. The Compassionate Path teachings explore interconnectedness. They also explore openness in life.

The Tibetan Buddhist Rime Institute isn’t just a temple. It’s a sanctuary. It is a place where ancient wisdom meets modern life. It fosters peace, understanding, and connection. As you leave, consider the Rime view. Value all faiths. Embrace the diversity of spiritual paths.
