Did the vision of those Christian men and women who met in the early 1970s foresee the legacy of Colleyville Presbyterian Church? Today, we stand before a testament to their faith, a church that has served the Mid-Cities area for decades. Colleyville Presbyterian Church officially began its journey in 1979, right here at this location. This house of worship has witnessed countless moments of joy, solace, and spiritual growth. Colleyville Presbyterian Church’s impact extends beyond its walls. It birthed Covenant Christian Academy, originally a ministry of the church. Now a renowned institution with over 600 students, Covenant stands as a testament to Colleyville Presbyterian Church’s commitment to education, though no longer officially connected, the church and school remain close neighbors. For nearly four decades, Pastor Dale Smith guided the congregation, retiring in 2014 but remaining a cherished member. The legacy of faith continues under the leadership of Pastor Josh Anderson, who assumed the mantle in 2014. Colleyville Presbyterian Church stands as a beacon of faith. It reminds us of the power of a shared vision and the enduring impact a community of believers can have.
