This is an oasis of green in the middle of the city, a quiet spot, named after a famous French singer. This is the Jardin Serge Gainsbourg. It was inaugurated in 2010. It’s a reminder of the famous singer who was known for his provocative songs. The garden is an homage to him. The name of the garden is a tribute to the singer’s first major hit, “Le Poinçonneur des Lilas”. The garden is a popular spot for locals and tourists. There is a winding path called “la ficelle” that leads you through the garden. It’s a pleasant walk any time of the day, but especially in the evening when the sun is setting. Even though the garden is in the middle of the city, it feels like you are far away from the hustle and bustle.
