Did you know that this beautiful building, Royal Lane Baptist Church, was originally a mission church? Royal Lane Baptist Church was founded in 1952. A small group of people, led by Thomas Jackson, envisioned a church in what was then considered the outer limits of North Dallas. They started by meeting in a building on Hillcrest and Meadow Road, until they built a church on this site. After a fire destroyed the first building, they built the current sanctuary, which houses a large gathering space. You can see that this building is full of history and culture. It is a testament to the faith and dedication of those who came before us. It is also a reminder that Royal Lane Baptist Church is a place where people from all walks of life come together to worship and support their community.
