“Did they say we could move back in yet?” a anxious voice whispered. We are standing on Rue Fraysse, a street that has seen its share of troubles lately. In February 2021, a major construction incident caused the road to collapse. Imagine the fear and disruption this caused for the residents of Rue Fraysse. The incident forced the evacuation of about twenty households from three buildings. They were initially taken care of by the city, but later had to find alternative accommodation for the weekend with relatives, through their insurance, or with their landlords. The road was closed and the residents were unable to return to their homes for weeks while experts assessed the damage and worked on securing the area. The incident also caused power and gas outages, reminding everyone of the importance of safety and the unexpected challenges that life can bring. Although the collapsed section has been repaired and residents have returned, the memory of the incident still lingers. Rue Fraysse stands as a testament to the resilience of the community, their ability to come together in the face of adversity.
