In 1992, a decision was made. Lengkong Gudang Timur was born. It emerged from the larger Lengkong Gudang, a transformation decreed by the Bupati of Tangerang. The decree, numbered 140/197 Pemdes/1992, formalized the division. This marked a pivotal moment for Lengkong Gudang Timur, setting it on its own path. The story of Lengkong Gudang Timur is one of evolution. It’s a testament to community figures like H. Muhammad Adih, Muhammad Arsadi, and H. Ahmad Mirin. These individuals, and many others, played key roles in shaping the kelurahan. From its early days as a newly formed desa, Lengkong Gudang Timur has seen many leaders. Muhammad Arsadi took the reins as the first village head, serving a brief but crucial six-month term. He laid the groundwork for those who followed. Banteng Indarto then stepped up, leading for five years, from 1993 to 1998. Sino Suratman continued the work for another year, navigating the transition until 1999. This period marked another significant shift. Lengkong Gudang Timur held its first democratic election. H. Herman emerged victorious, serving as village head for nine years. His leadership spanned a period of significant change, culminating in the formation of South Tangerang City in 2008. This transformation, based on Law Number 51 of 2008, redefined the administrative landscape. Lengkong Gudang Timur, once a desa, became a kelurahan. This change ushered in a new era of leadership. Appointed officials, starting with H. Suparman, S.Sos, took on the role of Lurah. They guided Lengkong Gudang Timur through the complexities of this new structure. From a small part of Lengkong Gudang, Lengkong Gudang Timur carved its own identity. Its journey reflects the spirit of its people and the broader transformations of the region.
