“Creativity with the arts.” Does that spark joy for you? Right here we are at the Kunstschule Stuhr. It has been fostering creativity in Stuhr and its surroundings for over 35 years.

The Kunstschule Stuhr, also known as KuSS, started as a painting and creative workshop. This workshop was part of the KunstVerein Stuhr e.V. In 1990, it joined forces with the children’s theater workshop of the Stuhr municipality. Finally, in 2003, it became an independent association.

KuSS sees itself as an educational institution outside of schools. Its programs are for kids aged one and up, plus teens and adults. The Kunstschule Stuhr offers courses, workshops, and projects. These cover visual arts, games, music, theater, media, and combinations of these.

The goal is to spark a love for creativity and artistic expression. The Kunstschule Stuhr focuses on personal growth and individual design skills. Teaching pure technique takes a back seat here.

The KuSS Kunstschule Stuhr is a member of the Landesverband der Kunstschulen Niedersachsen. The municipality of Stuhr and the state of Niedersachsen support KuSS. You can find the Kunstschule Stuhr at Jahnstraße 21 in Stuhr.

KuSS Kunstschule Stuhr offers creative group work. These are one-time events or ongoing programs. They also provide time-limited projects for kids, teens, and adults. You can join an experimental workshop and become a researcher. Explore your creative personality in a painting and drawing workshop.

Try designing with stones. Discover music, games, and movement. Visit a youth studio. The Kunstschule Stuhr even organizes visits to artists. Ever heard of “Building with Art?” It is a concept of the Landesverband der Kunstschulen Niedersachsen. The Kunstschule Stuhr offers programs based on it.

The programs take place in the rooms of the KuSS or in schools. They are available for all grades and school types. The Kunstschule Stuhr is proud to present its work. In 2024, the exhibition “Neues von der KuSS” opened in Stuhr City Hall. You could visit it until November 30.

The Kunstschule Stuhr provides cultural education. It encourages artistic expression. It helps people discover their creative sides. Hopefully, you have gained some inspiration here today.
