Forty ateliers. That’s a lot of creative energy in one building. This is the KUNSTLABOR 2 complex. It houses the Labor Ateliers.

Imagine a former health center transformed. Now it’s a vibrant hub for artists. Painters sculptors designers photographers architects illustrators. They all find space here. The building boasts almost 10000 square meters. Six floors plus another 6800 square meters outside. It’s a vast space perfect for creative endeavors.

On the third floor a whole level is dedicated to the Labor Ateliers. There are forty of them ranging from cozy 13 square meters to spacious 60 square meter studios. Each atelier has a ceiling height of three meters. That’s plenty of room to work on even the largest of projects.

A special feature is a freight elevator. Artists can easily transport their materials. Even large sculptures or bulky artwork poses no problem. The location is ideal. It is near Stiglmaierplatz and Munich’s art district.

Twice a year the Open Studios event takes place. It’s a chance for the public to visit the artists in their workspaces. It is a day of open doors and creative exchanges. It’s a great opportunity to discover local talent.

The Labor Ateliers are more than just studios. They foster a sense of community. Artists share ideas collaborate and support each other. It’s a place where creativity thrives. If you are an artist searching for a place to work you could apply through a form.
