Nestled in the heart of Fulham, Christ Church Fulham isn’t just a building. It’s a story waiting to be told. A story of faith, community, and a passion for making Jesus known. Christ Church Fulham first opened its doors in 1903. But its roots stretch back a few years earlier, to 1901 when the district was established as part of the London Diocesan Home Mission. The church was born out of the parishes of St Matthew, Fulham and St James, Fulham, a testament to the growing spiritual needs of the community. Today, Christ Church Fulham is led by James and Rachel, the lead pastors who invite everyone to “Come and belong here, just as you are.” Their vision is clear: to see Jesus made known in Fulham as in heaven. Christ Church Fulham is more than just Sunday services. It’s a vibrant community, shaped by scripture and powered by the Holy Spirit. Their values are deeply rooted in authenticity, creating a space where everyone can be known, valued, and supported. They strive to be “Scripture Based, Passionate for Jesus, Holy Spirit Empowered, Engaged in Mission, and Authentic Community Builders.” This “SHAPE,” as they call it, guides their mission and their connection with the community. For a time, the congregation worshipped in the Langford Mission Hall. This hall, built by St Matthew’s, Fulham in 1898, served as a temporary home until the permanent Christ Church Fulham was completed. Even after the new church was built, the hall continued to be used, later serving as a church hall after a new one was constructed in 1923. Christ Church Fulham isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a place of belonging, a place where stories unfold, and a place where the community comes alive.
