Politeknik Swadharma began its journey in 1993. It was founded by Yayasan Danar Dana Bank BNI 46 now known as Yayasan Danar Dana Swadharma. This foundation partnered with Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. Politeknik Negeri Jakarta was formerly known as Politeknik Universitas Indonesia.
Initially Politeknik Swadharma was located in a former Bank BNI head office on Jl. Lada Jakarta Kota. In 2002 the campus relocated to Jl. Fatmawati in South Jakarta. It shares a building with the Yayasan. Politeknik Swadharma maintains close ties with Politeknik Negeri Jakarta to ensure the quality of its graduates.
Politeknik Swadharma offers five departments. These departments include Finance and Banking and Accounting. You can also study Business Administration or Commerce. If you are interested in technology there is Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. All departments at Politeknik Swadharma have been accredited by BAN PT with B and C ratings.
As a vocational higher education institution Politeknik Swadharma aims to develop highly disciplined. It wants moral and independent individuals. These individuals are equipped with skills relevant to their fields. This ensures graduates are ready for the workforce.
Politeknik Swadharma boasts professional educators. These are experts in their respective fields. Instructors come from Bank BNI practitioners. There are also academics from Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. Politeknik Swadharma’s own faculty members also contribute.
The campus has multiple locations to serve students better. There is a campus on Jl. Malaka No. 3 in West Jakarta. Another campus resides on Jl. RS. Fatmawati in South Jakarta. You can find the third campus on Jl. Pondok Cabe Raya in South Tangerang.
Politeknik Swadharma provides various study programs. These programs are tailored to different needs. There are S1 programs in Information Systems and Informatics Engineering. The campus also offers a D3 program in Informatics Management.
Students can choose from morning or evening classes. Morning classes run from 8 AM to 4 PM. Evening classes are available for working students from 5:30 PM to 9 PM.
