“A tribute to a life well-lived,” the inscription on the Hans Gadebergs Plads Stone might as well proclaim. This unassuming memorial, nestled in the heart of Hadsten, marks more than just a place. It commemorates Hans Gadeberg, a man whose legacy is woven into the very fabric of this town. Born in 1933, Hans Gadeberg dedicated his life to the growth and prosperity of Hadsten. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to helm the family business, Gadeberg, a company with a rich 132-year history in the area. From its humble beginnings in feed and building materials, Gadeberg, under Hans’ leadership, flourished, expanding year after year. But Hans Gadeberg was more than just a businessman. He was a pillar of the community, a founding member of the Hadsten Rotary Club, a testament to his dedication to service. This stone, erected in 2016, stands as a tribute to his unwavering commitment to Hadsten, a lasting reminder of his impact on the town he loved.
