Isn’t it wonderful how nature can reclaim spaces? We are now entering Cator Park. It is an award-winning 20-acre park. It sits within 86 acres of green space. This is at Kidbrooke Village in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Cator Park is not just any park. It won the Sir David Attenborough Award. This was for Enhancing Biodiversity. It is home to London’s most ambitious biodiversity net gain project. Before this thriving park existed, the area was part of the Cator Park School for Girls. The school opened in 1919. During World War I, the school was a hospital for injured soldiers. The Harris Girls Academy Bromley was originally Cator Park School for Girls.

Cator Park also has an adventure park. There is a play area for children. Apes Adventure Playground Engineers developed it. They designed the Olympic Park Playground.
