Our funeral services occur every 45 minutes. This allows ample time to be seated. Extended services are available for an additional fee. Services can be as personal or unique as you wish. The chapel personalizes services for any religion or belief. A uniformed chapel attendant is present at each service. The chapel is warm and decorated with fresh flowers.
Forest Park Crematorium’s chapel seats around 100 mourners. There is ample standing room inside. Speakers relay the service outside for larger crowds. A modern computerized music system offers almost any requested music. Webcasting and recording services are also available. Flowers can be donated for use in the chapel after the funeral. Floral tributes remain displayed in the Flower Terrace for at least two days.
Forest Park Crematorium is privately owned. It aims to provide an exemplary level of service.
Visiting hours are generous. From Monday to Saturday the grounds open from 8 AM to 8 PM during summer. In winter, the grounds are open from 8 AM to 5 PM. Sundays and bank holidays see the grounds open at 10 AM.
Cars can enter the grounds. However, the speed limit is 5 mph. Cars must stay on the carriageways. Driving on footpaths or grass is prohibited.
The cemetery company isn’t responsible for wreaths, flowers, or plants. They also aren’t responsible for damage to memorials caused by weather. An incident book records thefts, and police are informed of serious crimes.
Forest Park Crematorium asks that all visitors conduct themselves respectfully. The General Manager can take action against anyone causing a disturbance. Interfering with burials, graves, or memorials is prohibited. Playing games or sports isn’t allowed either.
Commercial photography and filming require prior approval. Taking photos of individual graves requires permission from the grave owner.
No one may operate sound equipment without the manager’s consent. The Cemetery Company can close the grounds if circumstances warrant.
The sale of goods or services within the grounds is prohibited. All such requests should go through the cemetery office. Employees of the Cemetery Company cannot undertake private work.
Placing stone paving slabs around graves isn’t allowed. This is for health and safety reasons. Any items placed outside the grave space will be removed.
The purchase of the Exclusive Right of Burial lasts 50 years. Grantees should inform the cemetery office of any address changes. The Exclusive Right of Burial entitles the deed holder to determine who is buried in the grave. They can also decide whether a memorial can be erected.
