After his Olympic triumph Dr Prokopp continued his career. He remained in the national shooting team until 1924. He competed in the 1924 Paris Olympics. His later achievements were less impressive. He shifted to training young shooters. He also contributed to shooting regulations and publications.

Beyond his athletic career Dr Prokopp had a distinguished career in the Budapest city administration. He held several positions. He worked in the legal department of the sewage and waterworks. He even survived being briefly dismissed from his post in 1946. He continued until his retirement in 1949.

Dr Prokopp’s legacy lives on. His son László Prokopp and his granddaughter Dóra Prokopp are also noteworthy individuals. The plaque is not just a marker.
