Welcome to the Sarisu Recreation Area, a unique and beautiful spot on the outskirts of Antalya. It isn’t just a place for a picnic or a stroll. Sarisu holds a special place in the history of this region, and you wouldn’t believe the story of how it all began. Picture this: centuries ago, this very spot was known as the Women’s Beach, a place where women could gather and enjoy themselves without the restrictions of the outside world. It’s a tradition that has been carried on to this day, with a section of the beach still reserved for women only. This is truly a special place, a haven for all to come and relax. The area is a public beach so you don’t need to pay an entrance fee. You only have to pay for parking. It’s only a 10 Turkish Lira fee. Don’t worry about paying for sunbeds, you can bring your own or opt for a picnic on the ground. There are plenty of places to find your perfect spot. After relaxing on the beach, come back to the picnic area. You can enjoy a traditional barbecue or a snack from one of the stalls that are dotted around the area. But remember to always respect the local customs and traditions, particularly when it comes to the women-only section of the beach. It’s a chance to experience the uniqueness of this place and immerse yourself in the spirit of Antalya.
