Basile Boli a legendary defender notably played for the club before achieving international fame. He scored the winning goal in the 1993 Champions League final. Abdoulaye Meité another notable player went on to play for Olympique de Marseille. Lossemy Karaboue played for Olympique Lyonnais and Harold Goulon played for various clubs. Even Diakité Badiri Dawala founder of the WATI-B music label once played here.

The club also hosted the prestigious “Vert d’Espoir” U15 tournament until 2013. Teams like Le Havre Servette Geneva and even the Algerian national team participated.

Despite the challenges the Club des Espérances Paris 19e looks to the future. It focuses on youth development and its football school.
