The renowned industrialist and scholar Zhang Jian left his mark on Futian Temple. In 1913, he donated his 60th birthday gifts to the temple. Later, in 1922, he even inscribed the temple’s name during its restoration. Yet, like many historical treasures, Futian Temple faced periods of decline. Social turbulence took its toll. In 2002, the temple found a new home in Chongchuan district. Today, Futian Temple stands as a testament to resilience. It actively promotes local culture and public welfare.
