In 1977, a simple knock on a door echoed through the northwest Austin community. This knock heralded the beginning of Triumphant Love Lutheran Church. Pastor Dan and Nova extended an invitation. They invited people to join a new journey of faith. Triumphant Love Lutheran Church began to grow.

It has provided a place of belonging and connection. The church’s mission is to embolden people to share their faith and deepen relationships. This happens through the grace of Christ.

They focus on developing faith in all ages, and engaging children and youth in all ministries. Finally, inspiring and growing the church responsibly is a key part of their mission. Triumphant Love Lutheran Church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). This makes it part of a larger faith community. The ELCA has millions of members across the country. TLLC is also part of the Southwestern Texas Synod. The Synod encompasses a large region of Texas. It comprises numerous congregations and rostered leaders.
Triumphant Love Lutheran Church is also a Reconciling in Christ Congregation. This signifies its commitment to inclusivity. The church welcomes everyone with open arms, regardless of age, ability, family structure, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. They believe in creating a space for those who believe, doubt, question, seek, and wonder. Everyone is seen as unique, beloved by God, and worthy of belonging.
The church actively works to lower barriers to access. They want everyone to feel connected to each other, the ministry, and the love of Christ. This dedication extends from their first Vacation Bible School with 45 children to their current Camp Hope. Camp Hope serves nearly 200 children each year. The church also continues its commitment to outreach. It supports local organizations like Austin City Lutherans and global organizations like Water to Thrive. Triumphant Love Lutheran Church truly embodies the spirit of giving and service. They strive to follow in the way of Jesus Christ.
