“Every day should be a good day for students and adults.” This motto permeates Vallensbæk Skole. It’s a philosophy woven into the very fabric of this two-track school. Vallensbæk Skole caters to students from 0th to 9th grade. It also houses six special needs classes. The school prides itself on its comprehensive Ressourcecenter. This center includes a resource team. The team consists of AKT (behavior, contact, well-being), SSP (school, social services, police), inclusion, guidance, and DSA (Danish as a second language). Vallensbæk Skole recognizes the importance of a holistic education. It fosters close collaborations with the Music School, Riding Center, and several decentralized partners. Technology plays a crucial role at Vallensbæk Skole. Every classroom and specialized room is equipped with interactive whiteboards. This ensures an engaging and modern learning environment. Vallensbæk Skole firmly believes that students who thrive learn more. This is reflected in their dedicated focus on well-being, relationships, and social skills. The journey to and from school should be safe. Vallensbæk Municipality recognizes this. There are path systems specifically designed for both pedestrians and cyclists. These systems wind throughout the entire municipality. The school board at Vallensbæk Skole has a long-standing commitment to traffic safety. This is evident in the “Kiss and Ride” zone established in the school’s parking lot. This zone facilitates quick drop-offs and pick-ups. Vallensbæk Skole isn’t the first school in this area. The very first school in Vallensbæk was built in 1840. It was later replaced by the “old school” in 1920, located on Bygaden 47-49. The current Vallensbæk Skole was completed in 1955. Until 1966, it served as the town’s only school.
