Founded in September 1985 Sent Church is a vibrant community of faith in North Dallas. It’s a place where people discover their purpose. Sent Church’s name originates from John 20:21 where Jesus says “As the Father has sent me I am sending you”. The church strives to be a missionary for Jesus. This means sharing God’s love whether it’s across an ocean or just an alley. They want to equip everyone to live out their calling wherever that may be.
In 1992 Sent Church moved to its current location on Spring Creek Parkway. A new Worship Center was built in 2003. Since then Sent Church continues to find innovative ways to fulfill its mission. This isn’t just a building though. It’s a place of authentic worship. Spend an hour on a Sunday and you’ll experience a welcoming community embracing everyone with grace.
Sent Church is part of the Wesleyan Church. They deeply value the Bible as God’s holy Word. It guides their beliefs practices and mission. Central to their beliefs is Jesus Christ. He is seen as the ultimate example of godliness. They believe in the importance of making disciples. This involves evangelism and training in spiritual growth. The church also emphasizes the intrinsic value of every person. Diversity is celebrated. Unity in Christ transcends differences in culture race and perspective.
Sent Church has a clear vision. They aim to launch a Disciple Making Movement. The goal is to plant at least 15 multiethnic congregations by 2035. This demonstrates a commitment to expanding their reach and impact. Sent Church is more than just a Sunday service. It’s a place for spiritual growth community and service. It’s a place where you can discover where Jesus is sending you. It’s a place where you belong.
