Founded in 1952 by Santos José Casal de Rey Casal Del Rey Y CIA began its journey in Wilde. Initially the company manufactured metallic stearates. A paint company’s request led to the production of metallic naphthenates. These acted as drying catalysts in synthetic enamels and varnishes.

In 1988 Casal Del Rey Y CIA relocated to the Pilar Industrial Park. This new location offered increased production capacity. It allowed the company to meet local demand and even export products.
