Established in 1919, Hunua Falls Camp has witnessed countless stories unfold beneath its towering trees. The land was purchased when the nearest road was a distant 10km away in Papakura. The founders chose a site near the magnificent Hunua Falls. They were also drawn to a charming stream. This stream offered a deeper pool, perfect for swimming. Hunua Falls Camp today spans 30 acres. The camp has seen continuous development. New buildings and facilities have been added over time. In 2007, a new bunkroom, toilet, and shower block were constructed. Hunua Falls Camp’s core purpose is to provide affordable outdoor and residential camping experiences. The camp aims to enrich the lives of both New Zealanders and international visitors.
