A devastating fire, set by an intruder, caused significant damage. But from the ashes, the church emerged stronger. The renovations not only restored the building but also brought a new lightness to the interior. Artist Michael Mannel designed stunning glass windows, breathing new life into the sanctuary. These windows, crafted by the Herbold firm of Karlsruhe, depict scenes from Genesis and parables of Jesus. They offer a visual narrative of faith and hope. Today, St. Heinrich und Kunigunde continues to be a vibrant hub for the Catholic community. It’s a place of worship, fellowship, and learning. The church stands as a symbol of perseverance.
