Orakei School sits near Tāmaki Drive in Auckland. It serves students from Years 1 to 8. Many Māori children at Orakei School trace their ancestry to Ngāti Whātua. In fact, in 2019, Māori students made up 30 percent of the school roll. Pākehā students represented 41 percent. The remaining students came from diverse Pacific or multicultural heritages.
