Nestled in the heart of Weybridge’s bustling Church Street, opposite the Post Office, stands Weybridge Library. Weybridge Library has served the community for years. It has offered a wealth of resources and services. Originally located on Church Street, Weybridge Library temporarily relocated to the Weybridge Centre for the Community in December 2024 due to refurbishment. Its temporary address is at Churchfield Place, Weybridge, KT13 8BZ. This relocation hasn’t diminished its commitment to providing vital services. Weybridge Library offers a range of resources. These include books, large print books, talking books, and even Ukrainian language books. You can also access computers, Wi-Fi, printers, photocopiers, and scanners. The library also provides assistance with applying for free bus passes for seniors and disabled people. Before its temporary move, Weybridge Library hosted a variety of events and activities. These ranged from Pebble Rhymetime for preschoolers to a Scrabble Club and Yarn Time for adults. There was even a creative writing club for children aged 7 and up called “Once Upon a Time”. While some of these activities may be on hold during the refurbishment, it’s worth checking the library’s website for updates. The library building is designed with accessibility in mind. It features automatic doors, a hearing loop, and assistive technology for people with disabilities. For those driving, there are two disabled parking spaces in the Churchfield Road public car park near the Weybridge Centre for the Community. Weybridge Library continues to be a valuable resource for the community, even in its temporary location. It offers a warm and welcoming space for learning, connecting, and exploring.
