Established in 1984 Femmøller Efterskole stands proudly. It’s more than just a school. It’s a vibrant hub of creativity nestled in the beautiful Femmøller. This area near Ebeltoft in Syddjurs Kommune has a rich history. Did you know that until 1790 this region was called Essendrup? The name Femmøller itself originates from five mills. Overmølle Kjerris Mølle Glads Mølle Skovmøllen and Ravns Mølle once stood near the Mølleåen. Only four remain Ravns Mølle sadly burned down in 1688.
Fæmmøller Efterskole occupies a special building. It’s housed in a former grand bathing hotel. Built in 1909 this hotel was one of the first of its kind in Denmark. Imagine the elegance of its early days. Now students fill its halls with laughter and the sounds of creative pursuits.
