“Imagine a sanctuary amidst Jakarta’s vibrant life” might be the start of your reflections as you approach Masjid Al Maghfiroh. This mosque stands as a testament to faith. It is a place where community bonds are strengthened.

Masjid Al Maghfiroh is more than just a building. It embodies the spirit of togetherness and devotion. It stands as a beacon of hope and unity in the Taman Gandaria complex.

Let’s delve into the story of this thriving mosque. It all began with a concern. Some Taman Gandaria residents noticed Masjid Al Maghfiroh was usually deserted. Only Friday prayers drew a crowd.

Driven by a shared vision, these residents initiated a movement. They called themselves the “Pejuang Shubuh Al-Maghfiroh” or “Al-Maghfiroh Dawn Warriors”. Their mission was simple. They wanted to encourage more Muslims to attend congregational prayers. Specifically, they aimed to fill the mosque during Shubuh prayers before dawn.

Fardan Parjaman a treasurer of Pejuang Shubuh Al-Maghfiroh explained their vision. He said the goal was to awaken the desire for communal prayer. They wanted Muslim men to start their day with faith at Masjid Al Maghfiroh.

The Pejuang Shubuh Al-Maghfiroh had a clear purpose. They sought to revitalize Masjid Al Maghfiroh. They wanted it to be a center for worship, preaching, social activities, and community discussions. Their primary goal was to deepen faith and devotion. They aimed to promote timely and congregational prayers at the mosque.

The “Dawn Warriors” come from diverse backgrounds. Their ages range from 40 to 76 years old. Among them are notable figures like Professor Soepardi. He is a pediatrician and active lecturer at the University of Indonesia’s medical faculty. Gunawan Hadiputro a retired Irjenbang is also a member. Conny Gunawan is a convert and Gunawan Hadiputro’s wife.

Other members include Soelasno Lasmono who works in the mining business. Also Hariadi is a self-employed culinary entrepreneur. Fardan Parjaman is a telecommunications professional and entrepreneur.

Masjid Al Maghfiroh’s story is one of community spirit. It shows how a shared concern can spark a movement. The Pejuang Shubuh Al-Maghfiroh transformed a quiet mosque into a lively hub of faith and community.

As you stand here, consider the impact of collective action. Small steps taken together can create significant change. Masjid Al Maghfiroh is proof of this. It is a place where faith and community intertwine.
