Let’s talk about one of the most important events held here. In October 2023 Masjid Jami’ Arrohmah hosted a celebration for Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW. This event commemorated the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. Hundreds of people from Jakarta Selatan came together to participate.
The day began early at 4 AM with tahlil dzikir and the Subuh prayer. The program included readings from the life of Prophet Muhammad. There were also recitations from the holy Quran and religious lectures. Prominent figures attended including community leaders and religious scholars.
KH Sofyan Nizomi spoke about the importance of choosing leaders who inspire hope. He prayed that Indonesia would become a prosperous nation blessed by Allah. He wished that its citizens would have good character deserving of divine forgiveness. This vision is known as “baldatun toyyibatun warobbun ghofur”.
Masjid Jami’ Arrohmah continues to play a vital role in the lives of its congregants. Besides prayers the mosque offers various kajian or study groups. These sessions cover a range of topics from Islamic texts to contemporary issues. One popular kajian focuses on Kitabul Jami’ from Subulus Salam. This work is a commentary on Bulughul Maram by Imam Ibnu Hajar al-Asqalani.
Another kajian takes place every Tuesday after the Zuhur prayer. It centers on Arbain Nawawiyah. These study groups provide valuable religious education. They allow community members to deepen their understanding of Islam.
