Agape Family Church has served its neighbors since 1979. It operates the Agape Center. The Agape Center offers year-round programming and mentorship. This is available for kids teens and adults in Roseland Chicago.

The Gospel Coalition recognizes Agape Family Church. It is a fellowship of evangelical churches. They are deeply committed to renewing faith in Christ’s gospel. They want to reform ministry practices. This should conform fully to the Scriptures. They are concerned about movements within evangelicalism. Some movements diminish the church’s life. Some lead people away from historic beliefs.

Agape Family Church provides winter programs and activities. These include Bible study. There is also reading and phonics instruction. Teens can learn chess. They can participate in arts and crafts. Cooking classes are available for teens. There are also athletic activities such as Hip Hop Dance Gym Games and Boxing & Fitness.

Teens can learn about the Bible. They can follow Jesus in a fun setting. It is interactive and relational. Caring adult leaders act as mentors and guides. Dinner is included. This program is for 7th-12th graders. It takes place on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Registration is limited to 30 students.

Young adults can join The Bridge. It is a Bible study gathering. It encourages community. It promotes spiritual growth. They can learn steps to adulting with Jesus.

Students in 1st-3rd grade will grow in reading skills. This is a fun interactive environment. The classes are on Mondays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration is limited to 15 students.

Next Level Reading & Phonics is for 4th-6th graders. It helps children develop reading strategies. They learn what to do before during and after reading. Students will also grow in understanding. They will understand challenging science and social studies terms. Classes are on Mondays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration is limited to 12 students.

Playing chess improves teens’ cognitive skills. This includes critical thinking and problem-solving. It helps with concentration memory and planning. It also fosters social skills. Patience and sportsmanship are included. Teens learn to handle pressure. Chess boosts self-esteem and confidence. This is for 7th-12th graders. It meets Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Registration is limited to 8 students.

Arts & Crafts classes are available for 1st-3rd graders. Students explore various techniques and projects. They learn in a hands-on interactive environment. Classes are Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Registration limit is 15 students. Arts & Crafts for 4th-6th graders is similar. Registration is limited to 12 students.

Art for Teens explores techniques and projects. Students participate in a hands-on interactive environment. This is for 7th-12th graders. Classes are Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Registration limit is 12 students.

Cooking for Teens teaches the basics of cooking and baking. It is a fun educational interactive kitchen setting. Cooking for Teens 1 meets Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cooking for Teens 2 meets Tuesdays from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Both are for 7th-12th graders. Registration is limited to 6 students per class.

Hip Hop Dance teaches teens breakdance and footwork. A trained instructor from Red Clay Dance Company teaches the class. This is for 1st-6th graders. It meets Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Registration is limited to 25 students.

Gym Games provide fun and exercise. Kids play age-appropriate games in the gym. This is for 1st-6th graders. It meets Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Registration is limited to 25 students.

Boxing & Fitness offers fun functional fitness. Teens experience greater movement confidence and productive service. Power Fitness Training improves balance mobility strength and stamina. Power Punch Pivot Boxing Skills teach self-defense. There is no head or face contact. Teens learn punching footwork and defense. They increase target focus and confidence. Power Community includes group check-ins faith encouragement and goal support. Coach D West is the instructor. He is a certified fitness trainer boxing coach motivational speaker and pastor. This is for 7th-12th graders. It meets Tuesdays from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m.
