Have you ever felt like you were searching for something, a place where you could find solace and peace? A place that welcomed you with open arms and a warm smile? Right here, where we stand, is Tinley Park Community Church, a beacon of hope and fellowship in the heart of Tinley Park.
The church was founded by a group of pioneers who believed in the power of faith and community. With a Congregational Church background, it embraces the spirit of independence, self-governance, and connection to the First Christian Assembly of the Mayflower. The core belief is that all are welcome, young and old, to find comfort and a spiritual connection.
It is more than just a place of worship. Many community groups are involved in its building, making it a neighborhood hub and a place where people can connect and support each other. Bingo night on Wednesdays attracts players from all over who come as much for the friendly atmosphere as the bingo itself. There is a spirit of giving that permeates the church’s actions, with donations to local food pantries, participation in Toys for Tots, and even the distribution of gift bags filled with love for children during the Christmas season.
The church also hosts a Korean congregation. On Sundays, following the main service, the Southgate Korean Church gathers in the sanctuary, further illustrating the diverse and inclusive essence of the church.
Tinley Park Community Church – a small group of believers with a big heart, striving to make a difference and spread the spirit of Christ in the world. You can feel it.
