Is it a giant Lego creation? That’s what some people jokingly ask when they first see Siloetten. But this unique structure, towering over the landscape of Løgten, is no child’s play. Siloetten, meaning “The Silhouette” in Danish, is a testament to innovative architectural design. What was once a complex of industrial silos, a common sight in many Danish towns, has been reborn as a striking residential building. The architects cleverly incorporated the original silo tower into the design. It now houses the staircases, lifts, and a communal roof terrace offering stunning views of Aarhus Bay. The apartments themselves are built around the tower, jutting out in eye-catching formations. Siloetten stands as a beacon of urban renewal, proving that even industrial structures can find new life as beautiful and functional spaces.
