Acquired by the city of Antony in 1938 Château Sarran stands proudly within the Heller park. This grand bourgeois house a Second Empire construction replaced a much larger chateau destroyed in the early 20th century. Imagine the Marquis de Castries and Prince Mériadec de Rohan strolling these very grounds centuries ago. They were among the chateau’s principal owners before the French Revolution.
Château Sarran’s history is rich and layered. For many years it served as the city’s music conservatory. Today it’s a vibrant cultural center. It houses numerous artistic and cultural activities. These activities have taken place there since 2010. They previously occupied the Lionel Terray cultural center.
