Did the shimmering waters of Bűdi-tó always hold such tranquility? Today, Bűdi-tó, also known as Brenner János Park, is a peaceful oasis. It’s nestled among reeds and trees, a haven for protected birds. Its revitalization in 2018 transformed this little-known gem. This transformation included planting grass over a vast 6380 square meters. They planted 77 trees and 2842 shrubs. Benches, trash cans, drinking fountains, and public lighting now line the paths around Bűdi-tó. The green lawns invite visitors to picnic, play games, sunbathe, or simply relax with a book. A romantic wooden bridge, surrounded by reeds, spans the lake. On the far side, you’ll find a designated barbecue area with benches, small counters, a drinking fountain, and trash cans. Thanks to local community efforts, one of the benches even features a changing table for babies, a thoughtful addition for families visiting Bűdi-tó. Dog owners are welcome to bring their furry friends to Bűdi-tó. There is even a designated dog run area nearby, complete with a dog waste disposal station. But Bűdi-tó has more to offer than just relaxation. Chess tables, complete with benches, are scattered around the lake, offering a unique setting for a game. The park also features a running track, adding another dimension to the recreational activities available at Bűdi-tó. Bűdi-tó, once a hidden secret known mainly to locals, has become a popular destination. This peaceful park offers a variety of activities for everyone, a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
