“Husnul Khotimah” is more than just a name. It is a prayer. Here at Masjid Khusnul Khatimah, the name reminds us to ask Allah for a good ending to our lives. A life lived in obedience and good deeds.

Masjid Khusnul Khatimah stands as a testament to faith and community. It is located in DKI Jakarta Indonesia. The mosque can hold 100 to 250 people. It is a vital place of worship for Muslims in the area.

The mosque’s story is intertwined with the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights. It was built when the ministry was still called the Department of Justice. The construction started on October 30 1990. Lieutenant General H. Ismail Saleh led the ministry back then.

The original Masjid Khusnul Khatimah had a Javanese joglo roof. This unique design was thanks to the Yayasan Amalbakti Muslim Pancasila’s support. Over time the congregation grew. The old building needed a complete renovation.

In 2011, Patrialis Akbar then Minister of Law and Human Rights initiated the renovation. On April 28 2011, the first stone was laid. The ceremony took place at Jl HR Rasuna Said Kav 4 Kuningan South Jakarta. Many high-ranking officials from the ministry attended.

Patrialis Akbar shared a story about his mother. She advised him to live close to a mosque. If there isn’t one nearby build one. He emphasized that building a mosque isn’t just about funding it. It is also about initiating organizing or donating. Every contribution counts.

Wahiduddin Adams the head of the mosque construction committee stated that all structural officials were involved in the project. The renovation cost 4.58 billion rupiah. The funds came solely from donations from ministry officials and employees. No state funds were used.

After almost a year of renovation Masjid Khusnul Khatimah reopened on May 25 2012. Minister of Law and Human Rights Amir Syamsuddin officiated the event.

The two-story building is made of brick walls a concrete roof and ceramic floors. Its structure is confined masonry. It offers a safe and comfortable space for prayer and reflection. Masjid Khusnul Khatimah is more than just a building. It represents the hopes and prayers of a community seeking a good end to their lives. A “husnul khotimah.” A beautiful conclusion.
