Bornheim is a blend of agriculture and history, located about 10 km northwest of Bonn and 20 km south of Cologne. Bornheim is more than just asparagus. These districts include Bornheim, Brenig, Dersdorf, Hemmerich, Hersel, Kardorf, Merten, Rösberg, Roisdorf, Sechtem, Uedorf, Walberberg, Waldorf, and Widdig. Imagine the footsteps of historical figures who once walked these streets. Paul von Rusdorf, the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, came from the Roisdorf knighthood. The author Heinrich Böll, lived and is buried in Merten. He even became an honorary citizen of Bornheim posthumously.
