The Nor’kirk Presbyterian Church stands proudly in Carrollton, a testament to faith and community. It’s been a vital part of the area since 1975. The church’s name, Nor’kirk, comes from the Scottish word for “north church”. The church’s roots trace back to Davis Elementary School. The Nor’kirk was the northernmost Presbyterian church in the Grace Presbytery at the time. The congregation grew along with North Carrollton. In 1983 the current sanctuary was built. The Nor’kirk’s Christian Education wing was added in 1991. In 2020, a new Fellowship Hall and Community Use Building were added. The building has a modern feel while the church continues to offer traditional worship services. The Nor’kirk’s ministries have served Carrollton, Farmers Branch, The Colony, Lewisville, Coppell, Plano, and Dallas.
