“Where Jalan Masjid meets Kampung Panjalin” is not the start of a riddle but where our story begins at Masjid Jami Darul Falah. This mosque stands in the heart of Kampung Panjalin. Kampung Panjalin finds itself surrounded by elite housing and the Jababeka II industrial area.

Masjid Jami Darul Falah is easily found. If you are coming from the Rumah Sakit Harapan Internasional intersection, turn toward Jln. Industri Selatan. Pass Wisma Matel and PT. Fuji Seimitsu. You’ll see an entrance to Kampung Panjalin. About 30 meters down Jln. Masjid, you’ll spot the mosque.

The architecture of Masjid Darul Falah in Kampung Panjalin has a unique feature. It is a two-story building. Part of the second floor is built over the road. When passing on Jln. Masjid, you’ll go under the mosque. This design is due to limited space.

Masjid Darul Falah’s design is simple. It has a tiered limasan roof and a small cupola. This gives the impression of an old traditional building. From a distance, Masjid Darul Falah looks squeezed between homes. The ablution taps are even attached to a nearby house’s wall beside the road under the second floor.

The mosque has not had significant renovations despite its age. Some parts are damaged. The area around it feels cramped with small shops and houses. However, the interior of Masjid Darul Falah is modern with white ceramic floors. Windows with pillars and a decorative board show signs of renovation. The main door, painted blue, looks old.

Like many semi-modern buildings blending traditional and modern styles, Masjid Darul Falah has main pillars in its main room. The first-floor roof is made of strong concrete. The building is mostly white except for the doors, pillar ends, and decorations on the mihrab and mimbar.

The mimbar has two pillars attached to the wall. The space is quite large. A small podium-style mimbar features a large “Allah” inscription. Simple touches and decorations adorn the left, right, and top of the mihrab.

Since Masjid Darul Falah is in a densely populated area, it is always full of worshippers. This is especially true during Maghrib and Isha prayers. Religious activities like Quran reading sessions take place after Maghrib prayers. Masjid Jami Darul Falah is more than just a building, it is a place of coming together.
