Twenty years ago Noble Park Christian Church began as an outreach. It came from Lighthouse Community Church in Springvale. For years the church met in different Noble Park locations. Finally Noble Park Christian Church constructed its own building in 2005.
The building stands as a testament. It shows God’s grace and goodness. Noble Park Christian Church is Bible-believing.
Noble Park Christian Church’s core beliefs include Jesus Christ as God. He is Emmanuel God with us. The Word became flesh on Earth. He is both Son of God and Son of Man.
Jesus came to reverse sin and death. Adam brought sin through disobedience. Jesus overturned this. He bore our sins as a sacrifice. Through His death, Jesus reconciles believers to God.
The church believes in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit dwells in those born again. His role is to guide us. He leads us into a deeper relationship with Jesus. The goal is to show God’s light to the world.
Noble Park Christian Church lives for Christ. Members reflect God’s grace and love. They strive for justice for all.
The congregation includes about forty people. They come from diverse backgrounds. Pastor David Owen leads faithfully. Elders Roger Coombe and Vio Pomahaci assist him.
Another Christian Church is called Noble Park CICC. It was established September 7 2008. Noble Park CICC became a mainstream church in Victoria. It is thankful for St Andrew Anglican Church’s support since 2008. Noble Park CICC became a full CICC member March 4 2012.
Noble Park CICC has departments. These are Deacons Women’s Fellowship and Christian Youth. Each plans programs. The church meets every three months. Leaders give reports.
Noble Park CICC observes Cook Islands culture. On communion Sunday men wear white suits. Women wear white dresses. Services require quietness. Mobile phones must be off. Casual wear is not preferred.
Noble Park CICC follows the Scripture Union Bible Reading Plan. Sermons are mainly in Cook Islands Maori. The Minister prepares sermons. Visiting Ministers may also preach.
A normal Noble Park CICC service lasts about an hour. The sermon takes 10-15 minutes. Functions and ceremonies may vary the order. These include baptism marriage and youth services.
Noble Park CICC is a CICC of Australia Church Council member. It participates in council programs. The church complies with CICC General Assembly rules.
