Welcome to Square Denis Diderot. This park is an urban green space located south of Saint-Denis. It resides in the La Plaine Saint-Denis area.
Square Denis Diderot holds the distinction of being the oldest square in La Plaine. It spans 1.4 hectares giving visitors ample space to relax. The square underwent renovations in 2014. This ensured that it remained a vibrant public space.
However nature has its own course. During the winter of 2022-2023 thirteen century-old plane trees were cut down. They suffered from poor health. New trees were planted to replace them. This ensured the square continues to thrive.
Square Denis Diderot is bordered by three streets. These are Rue Jamin, Rue Saint-Just and Rue Chaudron. The Belle-Étoile theater is adjacent to the square. This makes it a cultural hub as well as a green space.
You can easily reach Square Denis Diderot via public transport. Metro Line 12 serves the square. The Front Populaire station is the nearest stop.
Many activities are available here for all ages. There is a synthetic football pitch. A multi-sports pitch is also available.
