Aflandshage is poised to become a symbol of Denmark’s commitment to a sustainable future. The wind farm will harness the power of the Øresund winds. The Aflandshage wind farm’s location is about 10 kilometers off the south coast of Copenhagen, in the Øresund. The installation is expected to begin in 2026. Cadeler, a Danish company, will install 26 Siemens Gamesa 11MW wind turbines. These are powerful machines. Each turbine’s main hook can reach an astounding 160 meters above the deck of the installation vessel. Imagine the scale of these structures against the backdrop of the Copenhagen skyline.
