Pedra Rosilha resides in the southern part of Pedra Branca State Park. The trail to reach this summit is not easy. It is rated as moderate to difficult. The hike to the top takes about two hours.
Our journey began in Vargem Pequena. The path is mostly shaded thanks to the Atlantic Forest. This forest envelops us. The entire trip lasts about five hours.
The trail is not heavily frequented. This is great for those who seek tranquility. Here, nature remains largely untouched. Human intervention is minimal.
From the top the views are spectacular. We can see the mountains of Pedra Branca. Parts of Rio de Janeiro’s West Zone also stretch out before us.
