The Colonial Baptist Church, a cornerstone of faith in Dallas, stands proudly on a patch of land steeped in history. It was in March of 2002 when a small group of ten individuals came together to establish this church under the guidance of Pastor Ricky Knight. Their first worship services were held at the Conference Center of the La Quinta Inn in Arlington, Texas. In 2004, Colonial Baptist Church purchased a house and land in a growing area of Grand Prairie, Texas, modifying it for their needs. The church still operates from this facility today and yearns for the day when it can build a new worship center on its property. The congregation has been blessed to serve the Lord under the leadership of two dedicated pastors. After Pastor Knight resigned in 2009, Colonial Baptist Church welcomed Pastor George Jainchill, who served for six years before stepping down in 2016. Currently, Brother Steve Vesper is serving as Interim Pastor, while the church continues to pray for the man God has chosen to lead them.
