They are developing cutting-edge, decentrally controlled components for these intricate systems. And they are exploring the dynamic effects within conveyor and storage systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The IFL at Labor- und Versuchsgebäde IFL isn’t just about theory. They have a laboratory dedicated to decentralized, scalable material flow elements, providing a hands-on environment for experimentation and development. Their research also extends to high-bay warehouses, using experimental setups with storage and retrieval machines to refine their designs and optimize performance. RFID technology also plays a key role, with dedicated measurement setups allowing researchers to explore the potential of real-time inventory management and tracking. And with a mechanical and electrical workshop on site, the IFL at Labor- und Versuchsgebäde IFL can build and test their innovations in-house.
