He assures us that despite its size the train is very safe. It moves slower than most walkers. The biggest challenge he says is rain. He adds that they often need to spread sand on the tracks to prevent slipping.
While Pascal drives his wife Katia manages the charming Wild West-themed ticket booth and kiosk. There you can buy tickets and delicious treats. They took over the Petit Train de la Tête d’Or in January 2024 seeking a less stressful life. They agree that working in such a beautiful setting is a privilege. They are delighted by the friendly customers. They encourage us to appreciate the simple things. They say look around you and discover amazing sights squirrels fish and the magic of Fourvière in the distance.
