In April 2013, a spark of faith ignited in a Dallas home, leading to the founding of the Abundant Faith Church of God in Christ. Elder Curtis and Michelle Butts opened their doors to a vision, a vision shared by Pastor Kenneth McGraw Sr. He believed in a church where faith flourished, echoing Ephesians 3:20, a place where God could do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” The Abundant Faith Church of God in Christ was to be a beacon, drawing people of all backgrounds to experience God’s grace. The church’s foundation was rooted in the doctrines of the Church of God in Christ. Just a few days later, on April 7, 2013, the first official service of the Abundant Faith Church of God in Christ took place at the David Hill Learning Center. The air vibrated with the energy of a new beginning, the message focused on the “fullness of God’s Blessing.” The Abundant Faith Church of God in Christ continued to grow. Pastor McGraw envisioned a dedicated space, a place where God’s spirit could truly reign. In October 2013, that vision materialized. The Abundant Faith Church of God in Christ found a new home, partnering with the United Methodist Church led by Pastor Samuel Martin. This collaboration marked a new chapter, a testament to the unifying power of faith. The first service in their new home resonated with the theme “Everyone should Praise the Lord.” The Abundant Faith Church of God in Christ continued to flourish, its membership growing, its impact spreading throughout the community. Their mission, as stated in Acts 1:8, was to empower members to become disciples of Christ, sharing their faith with the world.
