The growing population in the southern area of Quito prompted its creation. Archbishop Fausto Gabriel Trávez recognized the need. In August 2015 the parish was officially founded.

This church serves several sectors. Ciudadela Plywood Aymesa and Confiteca are included. Valles del Sur Quitus Colonial and Virgen del Quinche are too. Conjuntos El Conde and other neighborhoods also belong to the parish. Our Lady of Guadalupe is their patron saint.

The parish office has specific hours. It is open Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:00 to 12:30. It also opens from 15:00 to 18:00. Masses are held regularly. On Tuesdays to Fridays mass is at 7:00. There is also mass on Thursdays at 18:00. Sunday masses take place at 8:00 10:00 12:00 and 18:00.
