You see, on that fateful day in April 1974, this seemingly ordinary building housed the command center of the MFA. Imagine the tension, the hushed voices, the strategic planning happening within these very walls. The Edifício do Posto de Comando do Movimento das Forças Armadas was chosen for its strategic location within the Regimento de Engenharia N.º 1 military base. Close enough to Lisbon for quick access, yet discreet enough to avoid unwanted attention.
